I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Physician who qualified at the University of Leicester medical school and trained in the Midlands. I started my Consultant role at Kettering General Hospital (KGH) in 2015.

In addition to my Consultant role, I am the Director of Research & Innovation at University Hospitals Northamptonshire (Kettering and Northampton General Hospitals) and the East Midlands Speciality lead for Gastroenterology and Hepatology for the National Institute National Institute for Health and Care Research. I am a member of the inflammatory bowel disease section committee and endoscopy clinical research group for the British Society of Gastroenterology. I was a lead author of the British Society of Gastroenterology inflammatory bowel disease guidelines (2025), and iron deficiency anaemia guidelines (2021).

I am an active clinical researcher. I am a Honorary Associate Professor for the Leicester Cancer Research Centre for the University of Leicester, and chief investigator for the CRUK funded COLO-PREVENT study - run by the University of Leicester, as well as chief investigator of the BRACE-1 study.​

General gastroenterology disorders, iron deficiency anaemia, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), functional gastroenterology disorders, coeliac disease, early bowel cancer, and hepatobilliary disorders.

In Glendon Wood hospital's modern endoscopy unit, you can have a high quality, comfortable and safe endoscopic examination.

I am an experienced JAG accredited endoscopist, and accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist. I can perform the following high quality endoscopic examinations; OGD (examination of the inner lining of gullet, stomach, and duodenum), sigmoidoscopy (rectum and sigmoid segment of the bowel) and colonoscopy (entire bowel). I can also perform polypectomy (removal of bowel polyps).
